Born and raised in the Northside of Amityville, Long Island, RJ Da Realest carries the legacy of New York’s golden era while blazing a fresh, fearless path forward. His lyrical DNA comes from a potent mix of Eminem, Jadakiss, Redman, DMX, and Drake, blended with the sharp wordplay of battle rap and the melodic soul of artists like Bryson Tiller. He’s a 360 artist—rapping, singing, producing 80% of his own beats, and even shredding electric guitar live on stage.
RJ’s music career launched in 2016 after immersing himself in battle rap. By 2017, he released his first mixtape “007: We On A Mission”, which caught the attention of manager Radabus Torres, leading to a career-shifting introduction to Parish Smith (PMD) of EPMD. From there, the stages got bigger—Pittsburgh, Boston, Philly, Jersey, and eventually France, Germany, Poland, Switzerland, and the UK. RJ featured on 9 tracks from PMD’s album Business Mentality, toured with him overseas, and began building an international fan base.
